Reconciling In Christ Discussions

Posted on: August 23rd, 2011 by Peter Hoelter No Comments

St. Mark is in the process of discerning whether our congregation will be a Reconciling In Christ (RIC) congregation. The RIC Program seeks to make it clear that all people are welcome as fully participating members, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity or that of their children, siblings, and friends. During 2011, the St. Mark RIC team will continue with forums designed to provide education about RIC.

You can read the draft of a proposed RIC statement to be considered by the congregation at a later date. Comments are welcome. Please contact us if you would like to join our RIC Team or would like more information.  You can read more about RIC at Lutherans Concerned North America.
