The teaching staff consists of teachers with professional certificates or degrees in Early Childhood Education and/or Education and extensive experience working with young children.  They are teamed with qualified instructional assistants.  All have been chosen for their professional ability, competence, Christian commitment, warmth, and genuine love of children.  They are responsive to the children, actively listening, giving feedback, and taking time to show interest in each individual child.

A high priority is placed on professional development by all St. Mark Child Development Center staff.  Teachers and assistants are encouraged to attend workshops, classes and seminars.  These, along with professional reading and membership in professional organizations, keep staff current on issues in our field in an effort to provide the best child care and educational plan for your child.

In addition, all our staff are certified in first aid and CPR, have current food handler licenses and have achieved steps on the Oregon Registry.
